Department Announcements
Senior Scholarship Information Needed
Seniors--if you have been offered a scholarship, we need to know so that we can list it in the program at graduation!  We would like to recognize you for all scholarships that you have been OFFERED, not just just the ones you have ACCEPTED.  Pick up a form and return it to your counselor as soon as possible.  The form is also located on the Counseling Home Page or you can email your list to Kaci Scott at : kscott@lubbockisd.org

Wells College
Juniors...are you interested in attending Wells College in New York? If you are and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate leadership there are hugh scholarships available. $40, 000, or $10,000 a year to study at Wells. Mrs. Chapman in the counseling office has the form and information if you are interested.
Seniors Going into the Military
If you are a SENIOR who has enlisted into a branch of the military, please see Mrs. Scott in the Counseling Center as soon as possible.  You will be recognized during the graduation ceremony and she needs some information from you.  You can also email her at:  kscott@lubbockisd.org
Personal/Fashion Style Classes
Classes on personal style and fashion style for females age 12-17 will be offered beginning in February at the Municipal Garden and Arts Center. Attached is the flyer with more information.



Scholarship Alert!
As you are searching for the various scholarships and financial aid sources that you are eligible for, please keep in mind that these awards should not be charging you a fee to apply or to obtain information.  It should not cost you anything to apply for scholarships or financial aid.  We have many, many FREE resources available to help you find scholarships.  We even have a wonderful organization called LEARN, Inc. that comes to campus every other week to assist students in this...and it's free.  If you receive questionable information regarding scholarships, bring the information to your counselor and we will help you.
